About Lorne Lee

Lorne Lee is a music educator, speaker, composer, and performer of the trumpet, piano, and 12-String Touch Style Guitar. He has been a professor of music at several universities, teaching Music Theory, Church Music, African American Music, Composition, Band, and several other courses at Johnson C. Smith University, Savannah State University, Morris College, & Benedict College to name a few. Besides being a professor, Lorne has served as College Summer School Director, Band Director, and Chair of General Studies at the college level. Lorne is the author of the book Music in the Garden of Good and Evil and Music and the Star of David. He has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Music degree from Howard University. Currently, Lorne is working on his dissertation to complete his Doctor of Education degree from Governors State University.
